FADING MEMORIES
Memories are moments in our life, existing for an instant. Polaroids are one of closest form of physical media that reflect this, created in an instant and containing a moment. To explore interaction between the two I recorded the building of a hearth.
Hearths are where civilization began, where we formed culture, where our ancestors huddled to share their memories and formed stories.
This is a story about memory and the physical representation of them through polaroid. It mirrors how preservation and deterioration occurs depending how we place those moments in our memory and our life.
